The Bays Kids Market

Over 45 Young Entrepreneurs Swap Screens for Stalls at the very first Bays Kids Market. At a time when many parents are searching for ways to reduce screen time, more than 40 local children are choosing to spend their weekends creating products, learning business skills and running their own market stalls. The Bays Kids Market will transform the St Heliers Community Centre into a vibrant marketplace run entirely by local children. This isn’t just another kids’ market, you will find handmade products, creativity, upcycling and entrepreneurship, encouraging children to design, make and market their own ideas rather than simply selling unwanted toys. Every stallholder has their own story. The event has been made possible thanks to the generous support of the Ōrākei Local Board, together with local businesses including Harvey Furnishings, Dawson’s Lawyers, Lucy G Design, and many other generous businesses and community members who have donated products, services and their time to help make this event possible.
