KBB Music Festival 2026

The festival is the largest regional youth music event in New Zealand involving over 5,000 young musicians. It showcases Symphony Orchestras, Chamber Orchestras, Concert Bands and Jazz Bands in Auckland secondary schools and beyond. 2026 will see 167 groups representing 59 schools from the greater Auckland region and beyond, performing at the Holy Trinity Cathedral for awards and a place in the prestigious Gala Concerts. Mon 10th to Fri 14th August: Adjudicated Performances: 9:30am to 4:00pm FREE to attend Sat 15th August; Gala Concert – 2pm: Chamber Orchestras & Concert Bands Sat 15th August; Gala Concert – 6:30pm: Orchestras and Jazz Bands
